Darkest of Willows By: J. L. Moreaux

Under the willow lies a darkness so steeping.
This sedimentary evil is constantly creeping.
The shades of dark call on the horror.
For the undesirable fight brings us to the scorer.

We stay out of their shadows as the wind creaks on.
Their leaves lash 'round as their evil spawn.
A wastle that weeps as the leaves are clawing...
The blood drips red for the willows have been sawing.

The screams emitted as they catch their prey.
One must stay far if they are to live the day...
The leaves will skin the body and scratch at bone.
Darkness stalks us as we are home alone.

Okay that gave me chills. Creepy... It was really good. Just creepy. A lot of dark images come into my mind. Not like an evil kind of dark, but that could be there too. Just a darkness over powering the light... =) Mandy

Was it a good one though? hmm...? I like being scared sometimes, it gives me a feeling of life, and adrenaline is always a nice cure for depression.

Oh my god... *mouth falls open, chocolate falls out* THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It first gave me the image of shadows going in and out like the tide at the beach, then willow branches spinning all around (like the womping willow in Harry Potter kind of), and then I could just see somone's reflection at a window as they looked out at this willow tree that had just capture some prey.

Hmmmm... now I'm going to remember your poem whenever I listen to Whispers in the Dark by Skillet... *shiver.* Your poem was almost like the beginning of a story almost... (well it gave me some ideas) it was like whispers of what could be coming-- darkness! Dun-dun-duh!!!!!!!! I loved it:)! Pressing on the Like It button--

Lot's of special chocolate to 'ya,

Awesome! ;D

That was sooo creepy. But it's good that it's creepy. I thought of a little kid tossing and turning at night having a dream about the willow tree just outside his window. The tree was like a hand sticking out of the ground and the branches was it's fingers.

It's just so good! I really, really liked it! And if you meant it to be creepy, it certainly worked, I definitely got the chills. Keep up the good work!
