Have you ever lived a hard life?
Where it seems like
Days are sleepless from staying up all night
Like endless Advil’s, hangovers, and bar fights
Like taking a ride down town, distraught from the blue lights
Like frostbitten shackles and chains
Like super squeezed tight, revealing veins
Like your worlds upside down, feeling disdained
Like a hardcore drinker in and out of jail, and no plans to change...like his hard life!
Have you ever lived a hard life?
Where it seems like
Nights are restless from being worried all day
Like punches in bunches, hate for lunches, and authority not listening to what you have to say
Like knowing your walking home, you forgot your umbrella, and skies that come grey
Like soaked clothes and cold
Like a scratchy throat and a running nose
Like thinking the kids chasing you home have no souls
Like the school boy that can’t wait to be old, so the bullying stops, God bless his soul...like his hard life!
Have you ever lived a hard life?
Where it seems like
Nonchalantly the days have merged as one
Like no discern for the concern you brought upon
Like you care, they don't, and somehow, there's a gun
Like cold steal
Like shivering bold thrill
Like the suicidal tendencies that lies within she, she who feels
Like killing herself over loneliness that kills, R.I.P., like her hard life!
Have you ever watched a hard life?
Where it looks like
Days being wasted from the same old blues
Like tit tats for too’s and mitched-matched shoes
Like not because they wanted to, or that it's cool
Like tax due, so the diet is bad food
Like stale cashews and last week’s broccoli soup
Like what the highway beggars go through just to get that soup
Like pist off faces that act like they have no clue
Like why do you think I'm going to give my money to you?
Like paying attention to those who wish they could, but just can’t do
Like going to buy your child some brand new shoes
Like he wanted that too so he to rob you
Like life is hard…
Like six boulders that sit in your front yard
Like when you feel that way, just pray to god
Like for my soul to be in the possession of him
Like please forgive me for all my sins
Like I pray for my family, my enemies, and all my friends
Hardly living life, because we’re living life hard
And like in the name of Jesus we pray forever to our beloved God.
