Red Rose, Red Rose
You were beautiful once, I suppose
Although the vine that once flowed
Has since shriveled, you’ve shown
A fallen rose petal…
Once upon a vine
Velvet petals would shine
Dining obviously on used time,
Because she loves me, she loves me not crimes
Another fallen rose petal…
Letting go so easily
Your leaves fall seamlessly
And now unseemingly
Your vine stands unappeasingly
And another fallen rose petal…
Wet cement holds their molds
Though long the beauty hadn’t glowed
Forever now it shale bold
Imprints of love resting on future soles
Filling shoes and truth be told,
I now see beautiful footprints as they transpose…
These falling rose petals.
A beautiful Red Rose
You once were, I’d supposed
Now your petals lie, scold
On winters bed dying cold
You were beautiful once…I know
Now time has come for you too to go
So, die you Red Rose…a beautiful Dead Rose!
