... So You're Locked Up ...

I lost everything after my divorce, and someone in jail said they had it bad. So I wrote this and send it to them.

So You're Locked Up

.
I park my car, in a different spot every night.
So the repo man and me, won't have to fight.
No lights, no water, no place to call home.
Just another night in my car, spent all alone.
.
So you're locked up, with no freedom that's true.
But look at all the people, you get to talk to.
They don't care what you look like, or about your past.
And a friendship with them, may not even last.
.
Sometimes I think, I'd be better off in there.
Someone else could feed me, and wash my dirty underwear.
I'm living in a dream world, even out here.
I just want someone to hold me, and call me "dear".
.
I guess the point, I'm trying to make to you.
Is that lots of people, have it worse than you do.
So be thankful you have a pillow, on which to lay your head.
And be even more thankful, that you even have a bed.
.
You may only have, a small room for two.
And you may always have, someone watching you.
Be proud of what you have, no matter how small.
You could be like me, and have nothing at all.

.
