Have you ever gotten to a point in your life,
Where everything goes still,
And the clouds freeze lifeless in the sky,
And the sun light beams don’t pass you by,
Have you ever crossed that line,
That you never thought you would,
And the beat of your heart,
And the air in your lungs,
Pauses, just to laugh,
Have you ever heard that laughter,
How it echoes in your head,
And the tense of your thoughts,
And the sense that something’s wrong,
Have you ever closed your eyes,
To see tears yet to come,
And the cry that’s come off hold,
And the lie that’s come to hold,
Have you ever asked yourself,
Is this really who I want to be?
And found the answer low,
And found the reality: no.
