Disaster can strike at any time, yet sometimes, it spends some time building up for its hit. Don't think it won't happen to you!

The Unknown Strength
By Yours Truly‚ô•

No one sees the repetitive plot as it's staging.
Those adrift notice not how the water below is raging.
The eerie mood is insufferable and it's caging.

The waters line the horizon now as they plow through.
You're leant against the door,
Wishing the river had some place else to go to;
... But little you know: how long it'll be fighting for.

That home away from heaven is a symphony of creaks.
You pray for nothing more to come then small leaks.
Everyone's fear is teetering on high peaks.

One second the world is erupting with noise,
You're in a screaming fit and nobody tells you to quit.
The next, it's so silent the current's carry away your voice.
You've turned blue beneath those currents that pull you to their deepest pit.

How strange that not an hour ago we'd simply talked.
Now all tremble and wished they'd never gawked.
The insane impossibility of such a catastrophe; that? They wish they had not mocked!
