Oooh I LOVED the second stanza. It seems to me that many people never realize that most of the time we build our own crosses and then have to carry them. A lot of people can't accept responsibility for their mistakes despite the fact that we all make them. Very sad poem, Kevin. Time heals all things, and with any luck your cross will get lighter as you go on. Keep writing!!

This to is a really good piece of writing, I like the way the person has accepted they have to move on taking into regard time waits for no man, but also realizing at the time time carrying their burdens created in the past perhaps not made delibrately, we as all humans only make for ouselves.
