There is a barrier between us,
keeping us apart,
but i can't stop thinking about you,
it's been like that from the start,

and then just plain sad,

I can't explain it to my friends,
they can't comprehend,
what is it about you,
that's left me at a dead end,

i swear i'm over it,

I stay silent,
just a smile here and there,
waiting for you,
even though it's not fair,

Someday you'll be released,
