I’ve been listening to the radio all night,
Hearing voices declare their love through song,
And I can’t help but wonder,
If real people can feel that way,
And if they really mean it,
And if they’ll stick around long enough to find,
Who I am inside,
Do they’re words have any meaning at all?
Maybe all they care about,
Is being the next hit,
Do they stop to wonder,
If maybe it will mean something,
To a lonely girl on a rainy night?
Unconditional, forever, and pure,
Are they real at all?
Does someone feel that way about me?
Maybe not at all,
Maybe just a little,
Whatever those voices mean,
They leave the truth unseen.
