Never ending numbers,
Angles, pi and time
I don’t care how they work,
Just let me get through this class alive,
Another day,
Another way,
To solve for that lonely x,
I don’t need another variable,
To make it any more complex,
The math book sits solitary,
On the medal chair,
The homework I get is so unreasonably unfair,
I’m never gonna use this,
Why do I even try?
I seriously need something,
To make the time go by,
Walking to class,
My stomach fills with dread,
When I see the word “test”
Written in bold red,
Maybe I’ll remember,
Maybe I’ll recall,
All those difficult equations,
For this one day after all,
One through twenty-three,
Are anything but easy,
And twenty-four through thirty-seven,
I swear I saw a glimpse of heaven,
I look up at my teacher,
And seriously doubt,
That he knows all these equations,
Inside and out,
Never ending numbers,
Angles, pi, and time,
I don’t care how they work,
Just let me get through this class alive!
