Do we ever really know someone ? Perhaps the word
" Trusting " has different meanings ?

~~Always keep'em guessing ......
Love can make us vulnerable ....
I trusted you as I thought you did me...
I always put you first...
Taking care of myself, by watching my health, was an important part of me...
Keeping safe and not taking risks, was what I thought love was about...
My mind , my body, I devoted to thee..
I thought you felt the same way , but they were only words you used, to help you in the game..
The years went by...you had me fooled.. I thought what a great guy !
I was always there when you needed me...putting my life on hold...
Then that fateful night at 2 AM I took that " wake-up " call...
Hours of anguish had passed , not knowing where you were...
Hearing your voice on the other end...my heart did skip a beat...
"I'm in a plight, I heard you say ", you'll have to come and bail me out...
It seems I got arrested for seeking a " working girl " out...
Although I'm innocent, you see...just wrong place and time...
A case of mistaken identity...
So get some money and hurry on down, make it quick as you can...
By the way , do me a favor and pick up a burger, some fries and a soda too...
As I haven't had a thing to eat since I had breakfast with you...
I do as I'm asked and arrive at the jail...brought your food and paid your bail...
I mentioned the mistaken identity...only to be told..they got the whole thing on tape...
It was then I discovered this wasn't your first... you've done it all before...
Your male friends were contacted the other times, I was told...so why didn't you call them ?
It seems no one would answer their phone...so I had no choice but to call you at home ...
I knew I could count on you... you have always been there for me...
Oh well, I said with a smile on my face...
It was your indiscretion that caused you to be in this place...
So that's when I made the vow I did... and to this day, I only share what I must...
As it was your decision to end our " Game of Trust "...
So I no longer share my body , my mind ,or my thoughts...
And I leave it to you, to figure it out for yourself...
As far as our years together as husband and wife...
I've invested a lot and will now spend it ALL on myself....
