Shadows and shapes
Twist seamlessly in the abyss.
A million years away,
Yet a fraction of a second till,
Rays of light
Peek at the horizon.
The intricate tango
Of shadows and light
Moves over the dew covered grass.
A universe to explore,
Yet the light moves west.
The world is small in mine eyes
Yet how little I see.
The light grows delicate,
Like a rain kissed flower,
But powerful,
Like the mighty lion
With its golden mane.
My eyes grow weaker
With the waning light
The Shadow Tango
Grows into a wispy waltz.
And as the shadows
Take a last dance,
The last ray
Reaches out to the sky
And the shadows return seamlessly
To the infinite twilight
Of the end of the universe.
