Blue.
The surface image
Makes everything topsy-turvy.
The shadow of a gull
A bright sun
Disturb the calmness
Of the topsy-turvy blue.
The unearthly stillness
Of this sky
Is cut
By a low flying
Fish?
The blue ripples
The sun distorts
The shadows are non-existent
But the distortion settles
The sky reforms
The gulls wings are wet
And they are heavy with freedom
As they return to their underground sky.
