Gently rolling streams,
The birds fly by, silently flitting,
As life flutters by and gleams;
And those targets his arrows are missing,
Avoid that dreadful task of forgetting.
But time will pass, as it often does,
While words will wither and die,
As will those from which loves strike did miss,
With the content satisfaction that without is bliss.
