Unheard wish

Poetry By: Kyoko96

Rain gently halts its journey to the ground

As irritated voices of a shattered bond rise

Clouds start to drift away in the dark blue sky

A new star is born, timidly lighting up night sky

While the bond's offspring lonely awaits the moment

The flames of the six candles will be blown away

Shouts rumble through what was once home

and the clock continues its patterned pace

As memories of stolen smiles, future dreams

are annihilated with the escalating screams

Barricades await the love that will break them away

But the clock just continues its pace

while the only proof of love

hurriedly searches with might

through the toys that light up her eyes with life

11:11, the clock strikes the time

as a shooting star trails the sky

the flame of candles are blown away

Her tiny right arm clutches a four-leaf clover,

On her left, two wedding bands that had long been forgotten

A tiny whisper is carried by the wind,

Unheard by ever-rising enraged screams

"I wish for a family…"
