Half Smiles and Muppet Tails

Poetry By: Lady Elizabeth

This is a piece written for Peppermint, my shelter pup. It felt right that she have a poem for her as my Beau has his own poem as well.

A quirk a smile a yawn a sigh
A nuzzle a whimper a wink
A wag a nip a woof so high
My heart and yours they link
A pat a stroke a soft word spoken
Into your mistreated ears
A look a piece of friendship's token
Happiness growing from fears
A kiss a scratch a stretch a groan
Learning to trust may take awhile
A brush a collar a bed a home
I feel whole when I see your little half smile
