School was an extra special breed of bad today
I think, as I pass over the bridge that will lead me home
It would be so easy
Just to end it all
I don’t want to quit
Because quitting is failing
But falling isn’t failing
It would be so easy
Just to lean a little to the left
And slip over the railing
To fall would be floating
And land softly at the bottom
It would be so easy
To end it all and worry no more
About grades and tests and what people think
Just drop over the edge
They’d find me, so peaceful
But then my phone rings
And I’m back with the living
Guess I’ll go home and crack open the books
