Darkness Within Us

Poetry By: Lady Wolf

Sometimes the darkness we fear is in ourselves

You never know who is watching.

Standing there amongst the trees.

You never know who is waiting.

Catching your scent on the breeze.

My feet are too loud in the snow,

I can't seem to breathe.

I walk on appearing that I don't know,

My fate, this thing will weave.

I can feel it's eyes on me.

Glowing in the night.

I can tell it's watching me,

Waiting for the opportunity to bite.

It's claws long to reach me,

It waits to bite at my skin,

I know I can't escape,

Because my darkness is within.
