Fire and Glass

Poetry By: Lady Wolf

May or may not be considered actual poetry, more like the ramblings of my mind and the expression of my heart. Sometimes love is like a candle, so beautiful to look at and yet, so easy to snuff out.

The darkness engulfs,

Its perfect silence like the strained hand of my lover.

Hidden, quiet, complete.

Reaching, but never touching.

Lusting, but never loving.

The match illuminates our desire.

Quelled within the confines of glass.

The wic , your heart.

The wax, mine.

The fire is our passion,

Inviting to the eyes,

Drawing, pulling, beckoning.

Whispered secrets,

Shared lies.

Your wic has crumbled,

My wax pooled.

Our glass has shattered

The flames unleashed.
