Traitorous

How could I have trusted you?
Treachery in your heart
I had been so blind to you
Tearing me apart.

I hide within the shadows now,
And cry myself to sleep,
I often ask myself just how
Your loathing I did reap.

It is I that you have broken,
Tearing me apart,
My heart for you, a token,
No sorrow did you part.

Tears dripping from my face,
I wish that you could see
The anger that I now embrace,
The monster I may be.

A rage that flares within me,
And vengeance shall be mine,
For you there won't be mercy
A traitor of your kind.
