As Evening Falls.

Poetry By: ladygothicka

Written for my ex-fiance, Josh Sutton, who asked me to marry him and then made me choose between him and my family. Not my fault my family won hands down, I love them more than I ever loved him. And I did the right thing.

The night sky weeps
tears of pain as I
run to you. You've
been there for me, a
friend and guide, so
why am I leaving you?

As evening falls, I sit
and weep for what I
have lost. Love should
never force you to leave -
if you lovd me enough
to propose, why didn't
you stay?

As evening falls,
the rain cleans me.
Soon I will die, and
maybe then you will
finally love me.
