I grew up on the coast,
living the solitary life
of a fisherman's child.
No playmates, just me,
my dog, and the ocean.
We were happy, our lives
simple and filled with love.
Now, I look over the sea
and remember those days
fondly. Nobody can take
away the past, and I'm
glad of it. These seas
are in my bones, the brine
flows in my veins, and I
am a child of the sea.
