Our love is like clockwork,
timed to perfection.
Every moment is measured,
minute by minute.
Not for us the spontaneity
of new love -
we spend every day
watching the clock.
Our love is like clockwork,
dull and lifeless.
We don't live now,
we just exist.
Our marriage is a sham,
a conman's trick.
We pretend to love,
but only hate.
Our lives are like clockwork -
tick, tock.
