It rained on Mother's Day,
and I thought of you. You
were bright, beautiful and
full of life, but now you're
nothing more than a memory.
It rained on Mother's Day
and I cried for you. Life
was unfair to you, giving
you trials that no-one
should ever have to bear.
It rained on Mother's Day
and I grieved for you. You
were the guiding force in
my life, the light that was
always burning for me.
It rained on Mother's Day,
and I loved you.
