With Friendship And Love.

Poetry By: ladygothicka

I wrote the opening stanza to this one a while back, after my ex and I split (you know who you are, Josh!). I didn't finish it cos I couldn't find a way of putting my emotions there, but I rediscovered it today and well here's the finished product. Hope you like it.

Nothing seemed to work out
for me until you came and
made me happy. I was lost,
walking in the darkness,
my eyes sewn shut by pain.

Your love changed that.
I found a reason to keep
my head above water.
We may not be a couple,
but my love goes on.

We're no longer in love,
my dear one, but
I still think of you
with friendship and love.
I always will.
