Hidden from the light of day
I step upon a path of clay
Laced with leaves of foliage in decay
Amid the silence all around
Calmness falls without a sound
As I walk upon the virgin ground
Rays of sunlight filter through
Limbs and boughs that touch the blue
And glisten on the crystal drops of dew
Scents of maple mixed with pine
There upon the air I find
Nothing of my troubles left behind
I wander on a path of peace
Endlessly until I reach
A cliff that hangs above a sandy beach
Silence broken by the roar
Of waves that rumble to the shore
Where above a solitary eagle soars
There upon the cliff I find
Total peace within my mind
In a world of wonder...lost in time
