More Than Simple Liberty
They conspire to be the future
For they say the past was a mistake
And the Book belonged to it.
They muse to be Zeus
For they say Diana was a goddess,
But not one as him with his powers.
They aspire to be Christ
For they say 'Mary was only a human
So let her be immaculate'.
They move to be shepherds
For they say 'simple servants don't have rods,
We too are given this divine right'.
They clamor to be horns
For they say here is our home and tables
Give us your palace and seats.
So they march in invasion
'Move out the way!
Ready or not we'll leap to endless heights!
Say what you will
But we'll cover our eyes,
And weigh the matter ourselves,
In the name of liberty!'
