Desert Winter
An eagle soars high up in the sky
Over mountains and valleys below,
Winter comes to the desert world
Bringing a blanket of pure white snow.
Flakes fall from clouds above
Laying cover to the ground,
Pure and white just like a dove
Stretching everywhere abound.
Mesas turn from red to white
Cacti turn from green,
Snow falls on through the night
The purest ever seen.
Coyotes sing out to the moon
Howling in the dark,
Together their majestic voices swoon
And always leaves a mark.
One lone warrior looks down on this
From his high plateau,
Spectacular grand scenic bliss
Lovely desert snow.
