I'm not as you see
A jaded heart, with nothing
to offer and to please
the story goes
my fall, the obscure path
how was I to know
all the losing of what I had
sorrow warm and encompassing
the only company
in my arms of dark engrossing
daylight wants to shine
over all I covered in a deep
darkened shrine
my only world
this world is mine to keep
alone am I my own queen
to the vast land of lonliness
for this lonley spirit
wanders and stirs
grieving it's once steadfast blood
of strong body, though now hurts
I cry no more
and waiting I have given up
the world of make-believe
for a space of endless void
for me
