I flung wide my trembling arms
flapping emerging wings
here in feathers
of deep courage
flies the brave
into orange
pinkish skies
if only to stay a flight
on strength til night
I would last
for much longer above
and the jealousy
of birds needing to land
glare me down
for white wings never
want to touch
the ground....
