you rip through
the seams
of schemes
reminding
me
of days
passed through

no such other
would tell
over my shoulder
of how I fell

so needing
your ways
for
hunger thrives
to be
taught
tamed

and

in your grips
of light
and wise things
keeping me narrowed

I am extended
to my limit of receiving
the seams rip
through
the schemes of me

...so in my much
grateful gestures
to you I lend
no jaded
'thank you' measure
can I intend

but only to suffice
a much meaningful device
a show to you
my most loving gratitude
