Truth Obscured

Another poem I found in one of my old notebooks.

A fallen picture

From the wall

Of lingering time

It just passes like

The wind outside

Stolen chances

To erase the mistakes

That grew too many lies

I have strained in the search

To know me

Obscure and undefined

Is what I have known truth to be

If you ask just who I am

Words won't beset my heart

For everything I thought true

Has become a sham.
