How do I begin today?
The air is stale, yet
The clock ticks the same
Reflection of moments shine heavily on me
I recount the ways
My road has been
All the faces, my trips to big cities,
And glorious scenery
It was not hard
I loved everything
Today, I can say.
Sweet, yes, there were many
Bitter followed behind
I admit, I have wrestled and fought
Hard for sanity
What would I be
If I did not have both?
They say wisdom follows
If life is learned
I learned to survive
I am surviving today
That is wisdom enough for me
