You must have thought, “I’ll make a game out of it,

I’ll lie and cheat and you’ll never find out.

I’ll take that trust you graciously give to me

And manipulate it to my own advantage

I care about you not, but enjoy the praise I receive

You treat me like king, so as king I shall act.”

I know you said, “I love you, my darling

You surely are one of a kind

You make my heart beat like never before

In me you can confide and trust

Give me your everything

I shall never break your heart.”

I believed in you, your every word.

Now, what did I go and do that for?
