Vincint Van Gogh Poem

Poetry By: Lesley Annette 253

we had to write a poem on Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh in class a while ago and decided to put it on here. i learned that the guy was religious and heard somewhere that the eleven stars ment something in a passage in the bible, i guess, so i stuck that in. tell me what you think. oh yeah, and by "it", im reffering to the dark shape.

A peacefullness erects from the Eleven starts that protect

the sanity and virtue

and hills rolling 'way

darkness enfolds while the moon sets aglow a

stillness in the quiet profoundness unfolds

all across the settlement below.

Yet up it reaches, and reaches quite high

quite up high in the sky

as darkness is fire and brisk is the air

the gloom is anything but placid or fair.
