Hand in hand through cornfields we-

Walk in the sun to deal with the sadness

Find a resting place beneath a tree

I deal with my Summer madness.

Arm in arm through the countryside we-

Talk about us and plan our own futures

Find my own little space for the jealousy

I have about your new suitors.

Toe to toe in the farmhouse we-

Fight 'bout us and sweep away the past

Find myself alone and so unhappy

I'm going down and getting their fast.
