It's been years since the very first time that our eyes met
Since the first time we said that we were the ones we would never forget
It's been months since we looked into our faces
Visited people, memories and places
It's been weeks since we heard the sighs and squeals of joy
The act that brought us our beautiful boy
It's been days since we held each others trembling hands
Talked through the future and all of our plans
It's been a number of lonely and quiet hours
Since we drank wine in the garden and tended our flowers
It's been a matter of a mere second or two
Since I thought about us, our lost love and you...
