I miss you like I'd miss my favourite Sunday roast,
Like one would miss the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost,
I miss you like I'd miss the air I am breathing,
Or a dead Grandparent one is constantly grieving,
I miss you.
I miss you like I'd miss a hot bath and my favourite bed,
Like one would miss the drinking of wine and sharing of bread,
I miss you like I'd miss the words I am saying,
Or the sound of the children in the back garden playing,
I miss you.
I miss you like I'd miss a double cheeseburger meal,
Like one would miss the combustion engine and wheel,
I miss you like we all miss world peace,
Or like Sting would miss singing and The Police,
I miss you.
I miss you like I miss the energy of my youth,
Like the Detective Inspector would miss the final proof,
I miss you like I'd miss the sight in my eyes,
Or like a fat bloke would miss giant sized pies,
I miss you.
