Sunday evening in the Park, walking in the shade
Sunshine splinters through the trees
We hold hands and laugh at the silly jokes we tell
Baby never leave me please...
Saturday morning in the bath, bubbles at our feet
Everything feels just fine
We plan the many years ahead
But somewhere along the line...
We both forgot the pact we made
We forfeited our dreams
And leaving now you turn to say
Nothing is as simple as it seems
Somewhere between the lines
Somewhere along the way
Something happened we didn't foresee
Baby I wish you would stay...
Somewhere along the line
Friday night in the garden, sitting drinking wine
I shield you from the breeze
We sit and talk about our lives
Baby never leave me please...
Saturday afternoon in bed, clothes strewn on the floor
Everything feels just fine
We dream of what may lie ahead
But somewhere along the line...
We both forget the pact we made
And forfeit all our dreams
Leaving now you turn to say
Nothing is what it seems
Somewhere between the lines
Somewhere along the way
Something happened we never planned
Baby I wish you would stay...
Somewhere along the line...
Somewhere between the lines
Somewhere along the way
Somewhere along the line
Somewhere is where we'll stay
Somewhere between the lines
Somewhere lost in time
Somewhere along the line
Somewhere along the line...
Somewhere along the line.
