I've tried my hardest to refrain from calling

To avoid words and names appauling

Tried to stop the start and start the stalling

Why is it so hard to stop tears falling?

Well...

Okay, I know sometimes I act the dick

Don't deserve to taste my own sick

Chewed my nails right down to the wick

Know you won't come running at my finger click

But...

Bunged up I cannot breathe through my nose

People will say that that's how life goes

Nowhere to store my things and my clothes

I'm out of touch with reality and it shows

And...

Desperate to pour out the words I am scrawling

Stopping my heart with a lack of enthralling

Covered by this heavy and dark tarpaulin

Why is it so hard to stop tears falling?

If...

You change your mind any time soon

Pull me from this tear filled lagoon

Feed your love to me with a spoon

I will hop skip and jump right over the moon

But...

I'm naked and cold and on the floor sprawling

Through old letters and rhymes I am trawling

Standing in puddles of loss I am bawling
