Each day, the feeling grows
Resembling more and more
A perfect red rose

The sweet perfection
And bitter thorns
Of love’s embrace

Each day, the feeling grows
And the roses multiply
Leaving my heart to divide

Love’s sweet perfection,
Is its bitterest imperfection
But its aroma still draws

Each day, the feeling grows
But the scent begins to fade
As the roses dull

The sweet perfection
Gently dims
As the bitterness envelopes

Each day, the feeling grows
Even as opposites repel
And left, are shattered pieces

Love’s sweet perfection
Is now gone, finally revealing
The bitterness beneath

Each day, the feeling grows
And yet, yours no longer exist
Finally, love’s true nature is shown

Perfection holds within
A great lie
The deepest imperfection
