THE DAY I SAW JESUS
When I entered the room I felt love and peace
Only moments before all hope had ceased
Is it truly my God who has heard my prayer?
Maybe it's an answer to all my despair?
I've been given unto death, that was my fate
No more worrying no more hate
What shall I do, or what shall I say?
How will this swallow me? Will it come today, today?
Answers all seem to come too late
The Reaper had called me for a date
There was a smirk on my face as the battle was lost
My soul was torn at what was the cost
All that I had was a silent cry
Time stood still, I know not why
But deep inside, a word, a voice
It spoke of Love and of choice
"Choose who you will this day," it said
My son had died, but He's not dead!
I remembered the cross, and about the Blood
Forgiveness came amidst a flood
It guided me here into this room
The rush of emotions I felt consumed,
Then I saw Jesus
And then I saw Jesus...
