Your heart beat quickens as mine slows,
As my flames burn out, your fire grows.
Each shallow breathe I take may be my last,
The final sound I hear may be your sadistic laugh.
The way your eyes twinkle with delight,
As I begin to become one with the night.
As I start to fade away,
Alone forever, starting today.
My story has ended with the cover slammed shut,
You burn my pages, turn me to dust.
I dance in the rain and scream in the wind,
My pain and sorrow for your sin.
A forgiving melody starts to play,
Before you burn it away.
A harmony of screams is your favourite sound,
Your favourite sight is me tied and bound.
Chains keep me in your Hell,
My soul is your to twist or sell.
I Am But A Shadow, dark and cold,
Empty inside and my heart you hold.
Taken out of my chest and smashed to shards,
I never knew dying would be this hard.
Finally though, the black starts to take,
I give in the fight and simply fade.
My shadow and I are one and the same,
We form our black sky, a black sun and black day.
Your heart beat quickens as mine slows,
As my flames burn out, your fire grows.
