Softly Screaming in Hell

Poetry By: LizLew
Poetry

It started out as song lyrics, and I prefer it as a poem, I guess.

My world is now alone,
My heart is hard as stone.
My tears exist no more,
My blood flows fast and sure.
My head is filled with lies,
This monster deep inside.
It's killing me softly,
Screaming.

I sit here waiting for you,
I stand here calling your name,
I watch the world burn,
Without you I'm insane.
I sit here waiting for you,
I set the world a flame.
I know you hear me,
Softly Screaming in Hell.

I hear the gasp of your breath,
Your pain my only regret.
I cannot let go,
Despite all I know.
Chocking on your force fed lies,
This monster rising inside.
It's killing me,
Not so softly.

I sit here waiting for you,
I stand here calling your name,
I watch my world burn,
Without you I'm insane.
I sit here waiting for you,
I set my world a flame.
I know you hear me,
Softly Screaming in Hell.

And your name plays on my lips,
The memory of our kiss.
The way we were together,
Promising forever.
I know you love me still,
I'm sure you always will.
I love you too you know,
I just can't let you go.
Causing me to Softly Scream in Hell
