Remember when breathing didn’t hurt?
And I didn’t lie with every word?
And I didn’t scream inside myself,
And I didn’t act like someone else?
Remember who I used to be,
When I at least tried to be happy.
But that’s no longer who I am,
I won’t pretend to not be sad.
I’m a depressed person, what can I say?
I’ve see the world every day.
When you see happy, I see life,
When I see shadows, you see light.
When I have nightmares, you dream,
When you smile, I scream.
You can’t mend a broken soul,
And I can’t fix your mind at all.
I can’t make you see what I do,
And you can’t make me happy, so don’t try to.
