Back to back still they manage
To put a price on the damage
That's caused by harbouring knowledge
Stuff you never learn at a college
But still they never keep their promise
Say they're never going to raise it
Still two faced like a racist
Can't build a thing without basis
Half of us never make it
Tear the cycle up break it
Other half too scared to face it
Don't know more than the basics
Live two lives like the matrix
Feed us lies but encase it
Truth unveiled how they faked it
Life's too hard man I hate it
But can't escape from the past, can only choose to replay it
So if it's homage I pay it
I'm not the first one to say it
It's getting louder so play it
So they can hear it and change it
If not we're back to the basics
World full of bishops and racists
Feel like they're stripping me naked
Taking my dignity
Am I too young to portray this?
Should I rap about money?
Live my life like it's painless?
Or find the root where the pain is and try to exterminate it
As you can see, this is actually a rap but lines between poetry and GOOD rap are pretty loose.
Anyways, thoughts and opinions please!
