Never Alone: A Christmas Poem

Poetry By: lolgrl21

I was thinking about all the kids who feel alone on Christmas Eve, ecspecially orphans. In this poem, the girl is an orphan, and ,well read the rest to find out! :)

She climbs out of bed,

Eyes fully aware.

She looks out the window,

Wind blowing without care.

The empty street below,

A leaf blowing in the breeze.

The street light flickering,

The moon glowing with ease.

How lonely she must feel,

Alone in the early morning hours.

Everyone asleep in the house.

The night devourers.

All of a sudden a snow falls,

A voice whispers in her ear,

" I'll be with you forever,

Just remember I'm near"

It's 12:01,

On the twenty-fifth of December.

The joy begins to enter her,

She's finally a member,

Of a family she's forgotten,

A family aged by time.

But a family worth remembering,

A family of sublime.

For she was never alone,

Even in the crowd.

She's always had someone,

She was never silent, but loud.

Never lost, but found.

Never was alone.

She's always had someone there,

Always was known.
