Malady

Deserted,
                   Into my own abyss,
                                                       For I am no fool,
                                                                                      But I'm isolated.
                                                                                                                    For I accompany myself,
                                                                      Knowing I'm abandoned,
                            Guarding the inner me,
                                                                       The agony buried deep.
                                                                                                                    For lithium won't do,
                                                                                  Despair; delirium.
                                            Violation of my body,
Depredation of my mind,
                                              Ever so tender,
                                                                           Ever so raw.
                                                                                                   Unbearable ache,
                                                                                                                                     Fulfillment never whole.
                                                                                                                  Lifetime,
                                                                                                     Weary,
                                                         For the morning shines,
                     As my days darken.
Seek what,
                      Seek who.
                                          Circumvented,
                                                                     Conquered,
                                                                                            Crushed.
                                                                                                               Always room for improvement.
                                                         Callous heart of my enemies,
                                      No mercy.
                        Numb,
Deadened,
                     Yearning for death,
                                                         My last resort,
                                                                                    Who is beside me...
