The angry little people

With their angry little faces

Moan and gripe

As they die in their places

They complain about anything

But yet

are as dependable as the tide

To shoot down in flames

Those that dare step out of the line

Because secretly they like it - cognitive dissonance aside;

It's easy living with the beast

At least when you're on the inside

There is only one law

One rule to abide

You must consume

And consume

And consume

Whilst you're waiting to die

Introspection is a dirty word

Like those of empathy

Or knowledge

The consumer has no need for them

Because the consumer

Does not forage

The consumer does not look for things

Does not hunt

Does not gather

Does not discern

Or Think

It neither deciphers nor fathoms

Because everything it needs to know

Has already been

Copyrighted and packaged
