Lifeless Voice
The snow falls all around us,
ceasing to stop yet refusing to speed up.
I sit next to your cold body,
listening to the slowing beat.
Although you cannot respond,
I ask your questions.
Although you can no longer hear me,
I sing our wonderful songs.
Although your body is cold and voice lifeless,
I wait for you here.
I love you,
even if you’re dead and gone.
I love you,
even if we can no longer laugh as one.
I love you,
even if your pain is gone and I hold on to it now.
Please take me away with you.
Let the snow pile up,
let the snow keep us together.
I don’t want to be left alone!
Let us sing out songs together,
let them ring out once more.
I will sing until the end is here,
even if it falls on deaf ears.
I will sing as long as I can.
I will stay with you as long as I can.
I will continue on,
until all is white.
I was kind of depressed when writing this(depression is the only time I actually really write poetry). I don't know if it's good or not but I posted it anyways...
